The green wooden roof on this feeder helps shelter the contents of the pan.  This is a great little portable feeder that has a plastic pan to hold mealworms, most types of seed, and even water!

This green vinyl coated mesh thistle bag is 5 1/2" wide x 15" long. It hangs by a nylon cord and is easy to fill. "Goldfinch will naturally cling to the mesh bag as they peck the thistle seed through the tiny holes!" Holds 7 1/2 cups Niger seed. The roof for the thistle bag is natural cedar and adds protection for the seed.
